July 13th, 2015 — Kudos, which helps researchers, publishers and institutions to manage and increase the reach and impact of publications, has announced that it has been shortlisted for the 2015 ALPSP Awards for Innovation in Publishing. The Awards are a prestigious annual event in which the leading developments in scholarly and professional publishing are recognised. Applications must demonstrate “excellence in terms of originality and innovation, significance and value to its community, utility and long-term viability”. Melinda Kenneway, Kudos’ Executive Director, will present Kudos directly to the Awards’ judges this week; she says, “Scholarly communications is evolving fast, with the digital era driving substantial redevelopment of publishing formats, processes and products. Beyond evolution, new ideas are increasingly emerging that spring from a more ambitious and bolder vision. We’re proud that Kudos has been recognised as being amongst these and excited to share with the judges our longer-term plans for having a real and substantial impact on research effectiveness.”

As a shortlisted applicant, Kudos will be presented at a quick fire session during the ALPSP International Conference on Wednesday 9 September, and the final winner will be revealed at the Awards Dinner the following evening.
