Calling all BES delegates - what's on your "impact checklist"?

November 7 2016 / By Charlie Rapple

bes_2016Will you be attending the British Ecological Society’s annual meeting in Liverpool, UK next month? If so, we’d like to invite you to participate in a focus group about increasing the reach and impact of your work!

One of the founders of Kudos, Charlie Rapple, will moderate a discussion around questions such as:

  • What kinds of outputs from your research do you share online?
  • Who do you share them with - where and how do you manage your “network”?
  • What tools do you use for communicating about your work?
  • What kinds of metrics are you aware of / interested in?

The goal of the session is to combine participants' ideas and experiences into an “impact checklist” to help participants, and researchers in general, maximize the visibility and impact of their work. The checklist will also help shape future features of the Kudos platform.

Charlie will be joined by Kudos Marketing Manager Lauren McNeill, and by members of the British Ecological Society’s publications team.

The focus group will take place on Monday 12th December from 13:45-15:00 in Suite 8 (located on the 1st floor) at Jury’s Inn, just outside the conference centre - lunch will be provided. Spaces are limited so please register as soon as possible at:

Don't forget we'll also be exhibiting at the meeting - stand 15 - so get in touch if you'd like to set up a time to learn about Kudos!
