Annals of Saudi Medicine Chooses Kudos to Increase Researchers’ Publication Impact

July 3 2018 / By Lauren McNeill

For immediate release, July 3rd, 2018 - The Annals of Saudi Medicine (ASM) is delighted to announce its partnership with Kudos, a platform that manages communications for publications across multiple publishing platforms. This new partnership will help researchers maximize dissemination of research and strengthen partnerships between researchers, their affiliated organizations, and other service-providers.

Prof. Nasser Al-Sanea, editor-in-chief of ASM, stated: “Major changes have been undertaken to enrich the experience for the reader and author; Kudos helps in bringing authors’ published articles back to life through following three easy steps: Explain in plain language the objective and importance of the publication, Share the content via social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, etc), web pages, or e-mail contacts, and Measure the effect of readers’ clicks, downloads, citations, and so much more to learn which communication channels are most effective. These are exciting times for ASM, and we hope it will reflect positively on the experience of our readers and authors.”

The Annals of Saudi Medicine, published by King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (Gen. Org.) (KFSH&RC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is an internationally recognized and peer-reviewed medical journal that is indexed in several medical databases: PubMed, PMC, Embase, Scopus, Google Scholar, Science Citation Index Expanded, Current Contents-Clinical Medicine, BIOSIS Previews, and many others. Ms. Amal Al-Ghammas, editorial supervisor at KFSH&RC, stated: “ASM has been accepted as a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) which means that the journal has met the criteria for the highest standards of publication ethics, the code of conduct for journal editors, and the 16 principles of transparency.” The journal receives as many as 1,500 submissions per year, all of which undergo a rigorous peer-review process. The journal publishes scientific reports in English that are of clinical interest; all submissions are subject to peer-review by the Editorial Board and by reviewers in appropriate specialties. According to the Web of Science Citation Report, the average citations per published article is 3.89 in 2017. For more information about ASM, please visit: http://www.annsaudimed.net/
