Step by step: practical actions to drive Engagement and Impact

Webinar Key Facts : 30th January 2020 15:00 AWST / 18:00 AEDT

The Australian Research Council, like many other funders around the world, is increasingly focused on Engagement and Impact - both in terms of the engagement and impact achieved by research projects, and the approaches to engagement and impact demonstrated by the research team.

In practical terms, this means assessors are looking at who you engage, why, what activities youdo, how you measure it, and whether you take a sufficiently professional approach to planning and managing this process i.e. how well you integrate it as part of your overall project.

They then look at the extent to which the research itself, and the engagement you have undertaken, have created impact, and what evidence you have captured of this.

The skills involved in planning, actioning, measuring and reporting on engagement and impact are thus becoming fundamental to being a researcher, but many researchers feel they don't yet have the skills they need in this area.

Kudos can help. Our team has decades of experience in research dissemination, communication, engagement and impact. And our new cloud-based service, Kudos Pro, gives you professional tools for creating, executing, measuring and reporting on engagement and impact.

Join us for a special 1-hour webinar with Kudos co-founder Charlie Rapple, exploring:

  • Trends in what funders such as the ARC expect of researchers, in the context of Engagement and Impact
  • What questions they will be considering as they evaluate your grant applications or undertake ERA / EI evaluations
  • Best practices in identifying and engaging target audiences, including the best communications channels to use, and the best tools for managing and measuring your activities.

You will benefit from this 1-hour webinar if :

  • You want to increase the likelihood of funding success by sharpening your engagement and impact skills
  • You want to plan and manage your engagement and impact better, to make it easier to provide reports and evidence of your achievements
  • You need to track or measure engagement and impact, but don’t know how to do this in a meaningful way across a wide range of activities and outputs.

"The webinar was great!
