Partnership will increase visibility of key projects and impact case studies
For immediate release – 6th February 2020 – Kudos, the award-winning service for accelerating research impact through strategic communications management, has today announced a new partnership with the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Liverpool. The Faculty will use Kudos Pro to broaden multi-audience reach and engagement with key projects and impact case studies, and has recently launched its first Kudos Pro public project profiles (Tactile Collider and ChemTube3D).
Science and Engineering is one of three Faculties that make up the University of Liverpool, a Russell Group member rated in the world’s top 1% of Higher Education Research Institutions. The Faculty connects research strengths, technologies and experts from a unique, broad mix of Science and Engineering-related disciplines to develop innovative solutions and approaches to tackle many of today's complex social, economic and environmental challenges.
“We’re working to showcase our thriving research community, collaborating across disciplines to take our research into ground-breaking new directions and engage more directly with the people and organisations that can help to transform ideas into creative solutions,” says Professor Ric Williams, Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Impact for Science and Engineering at the University of Liverpool. “Kudos Pro is helping us showcase our research projects – connecting a suite of research outputs together around a coherent project, making the outcomes accessible to a wide range of stakeholders.”
The University of Liverpool is among the first universities in the UK to apply new project tools developed by Kudos to plan, manage and measure the communications and engagement activities that drive research impact.
“For research to have impact, the people who can apply it need to find it and understand it,” continued Melinda Kenneway, CEO of Kudos. “This requires effective communication and reach beyond traditional academic activities and events. But researchers have limited time and expertise to reach these broader audiences. We’ve developed Kudos Pro to fill that gap – enabling researchers to plan, action, manage and evaluate their communications to accelerate and broaden its positive impact in the world.”
